Because he has all his fingers.
Yeah I'm OCD like that.
But from what I gather it's not that the fans have a problem with L4D2. The problem L4D fans have is that the original game shipped with a lot less content compared to most contemporary games, like R2 or WAW, and Valve had promised to make up for that with lots of DLC and patches.
Sports games might not change that much from year to year, but each game is still a complete package.
L4D wasn't and instead of releasing new content Valve is going to release a sequel wi...
When did checking out the competition at a public event, for developers at anyways, become spying? And even calling it competition between Forza and GT feels inaccurate because they won't be directly competing with one another for sales due to the fact that they're on different consoles.
I'll just file this under PR baiting.
No, I'm comparing to Mass Effect. Comparing it to Leisure Suit though, THAT would be grossly unfair.
@disagreers
Read what I wrote guys.
I'm not debating the merits of the game, who the hell knows how it will turn out at this point. I'm criticizing they way it's being introduced to the public. First Gametrailers gets footage of Madison lap dancing in a thong, then Kotaku gets video of her pressing up against a window and running around in her underwear, and now N4G sees here upping her sex appeal in front of a mirror.
And I'm not trying to downplay the...
Like anyone trusts Square's exclusivity announcements anymore, when it comes to PS3 anyway. I guarantee you that FF14 will be announced for a day and day release with the PS3 between now and the end of the next E3. Even timed exclusivity is optimistic.
Square's practically a MS second party developer now, aside from handheld games.
I thought this was supposed to be marketed as a game for adults, not an adult video game. What are they doing appealing to the horny teenager demographic, something this clip is clearly designed to do.
It's fine to include scenes like this in the context of a story, but out of context it just seems like QD is going the Bioware route in playing up the sex aspect for publicity.
It's a shame because I have high hopes for this game.
Normally I would agree with you about sequels, but in this case no. L4D is really light on content compared to other games, being episodic and movie like in nature, and Valve promised to offset this by releasing new maps and story modes for free, at least for PC.
Instead of doing what they had promised though, they're taking the maps they have developed, shoe-horning in some new characters, abilities, and weapons, and then releasing a new game at full price.
You realize this isn't a serious article right?
Well you can't compare inFAMOUS to MGS4 and Uncharted. Those are linear games that don't have to stream nearly as much content as inFAMOUS. If you want to compare inFAMOUS's graphics to other games you have to compare it with GTA4, SR2, Far Cry 2, etc.
Who the heck needs a digital map as long as the Internet still exists. Now if the game came with a cool bonus like Drake's ring, then I'd be interested.
If this is going to be like the LBP and inFAMOUS pre-order deals I'll just wait for the other retailers to announce whatever their deals are before I put 5 bucks down.
I am an anime follower, and yes I know that Evangelion is extremely popular. But just because it's popular doesn't mean it's ripe for a video game adaptation. Most of what goes on in NGE is character based not action based. It's like trying to make Frost/Nixon into a game, it's not just that kind of property; although I suppose a casual viewer, not saying you are, might think so since it has giant battle robots.
Hellsing, Blue Gender, Gundam, those are all properties you can b...
Now I can live out my fantasy of playing as Shinji Ikari, the most angsty unlikeable protagonist in the history of anime. :)
But seriously, Evangelion? It's not as if there series was very action oriented. What was there, like two or three fights total. Of course it if comes with a lot of fanservice I'm sure people will buy it for that alone.
If you're going to make an anime game at least pick one that fits like Hellsing or Blue Gender or something that's action...
But, never let it be said that just because a website is owned, affiliated, or associated with a particular brand that they won't necessarily render their own opinion and not the opinion that's in the best interests of the publisher.
I wonder what the polling sample was.
It makes sense for the DS and Wii to be at the top, and for the 360 to have the edge on the PS3, based on install base, but in what world does the original Xbox have brand name superiority over the PS2?
PS2 outsold Xbox like 6 to 1 and it's the only last gen console still in production. Hell, people often refer to my PS3 as a PS2, just because they're so used to saying it.
Not a chance in hell. This'll be a fall 2010 game for sure.
I didn't know Sarah Palin kicked so much ass!
This fall is already overkill for PS3 owners with MW2, BioShock 2, Uncharted 2, R&C, WKC, Heavy Rain, Assassin's Creed 2, Fallout 3 DLC, Bayonetta, Brutal Legend and MAG.
Another fantastic review from the people who decided it would be a good idea to take on the whole of NeoGaf in a public forum. Bravo!
Actually the review itself isn't too bad. There are a few points I can understand them making, but they blew their credibility at the end by implying that Spiderman WOS=inFAMOUS>Crackdown and that Prototype, an unreleased game they haven't played more than a few hours of, is better than all of those.
As awful as Pachter's track record is for predicting the future I agree with pretty much everything he said about Sony this year. I wanted to get a PSP Go, but I'm not shelling out $250 for a handheld when I know for a fact the price could be lower.
